How it works
Nothing is illustrated until you've approved the story, and nothing is printed until you've approved the proof.
Enquiry
Fill in the short form. It takes a few minutes and needs no photos. We reply to say whether we can help and what happens next. Sending an enquiry doesn't commit you to anything.
Discovery and quote
We review your enquiry, talk it through, and send a provisional quote. Production doesn't start from a quote alone.
Story intake
You get a private link to a fuller questionnaire, saved section by section. Partners or friends can be invited to add their own perspective. Prefer to talk? We can do it as a guided conversation.
Story outline — you approve
We reconcile the timeline and propose an outline of around 6–10 scenes. Facts you've told us are kept separate from the parts an artist may interpret. You approve before we go further.
Reference collection
You send portraits, places and objects for the main people and settings, with a note of what each is for and whether it may appear in the book.
Illustration and lettering
We create character and location references, storyboards, art, lettering and layout, using digital illustration tools with human direction. A person then checks identity, continuity, spelling and plausibility.
Proof — you approve
You get a numbered proof and a simple way to request corrections. We record the approved version before printing.
Print and delivery
We order the print and send it to you. Delivery options and timescales to be confirmed.
Who does what
| You | Us |
|---|---|
| Share memories, dates and photos, and mark what's a firm fact. | Plan the story, and tell you where we've had to choose or interpret. |
| Check that names, spellings and events are right. | Never invent a proposal, quote, illness or private event. |
| Approve the outline and the proof. | Keep a record of each approval. |
Dialogue is reconstruction unless you tell us the words are a verified quote.
Ready to tell their story?
Tell us a little about the couple. There's no obligation, and no photos needed yet.
